When you insert the E-HealthKEY on your home computer for the first time, you're given the option of installing its utility program. If you already have information stored in the MedicAlert membership database, the program will download your information. You can then update it and synchronize it with the MedicAlert database.
At home, you can also:
- Graph blood glucose levels, weight loss, cholesterol levels, and other data.
- Set up reminders for medical appointments and prescription refills.
- Print an emergency wallet card.
- Print copies of your medications and/or other medical information.
A hospital or doctor's office only needs a computer with a USB port. If they're running Windows 2000 or XP, the necessary drivers are already installed.
