Definition: Perception of twinkling lights of varying intensity that can occur during the migraine aura. Scintillation can be a symptom of the aura phase of a Migraine attack.
Common Misspellings: scentillation scintilation scentilation
Examples: Although scintillation can be a sign of Migraine aura, other causes should be ruled out, usually through examination by an ophthalmologist.
