Second edition, by Lawrence Robbins, M.D.

Management of Headache and Headache Medications by Dr. Lawrence Robbins is a must-have for healthcare professionals as well as a superb addition to the library of information seeking patients and patient advocates.

In the Forward to the book, Dr. Jerome Goldstein, Director of the San Francisco Headache Clinic, writes,
"Dr. Lawrence Robbins is one of our top authorities on the management of headache medications. He has contributed greatly through his research and writing on various headache topics. This book will be invaluable for those involved in the treatment of patients with headache."
The narrative is wonderful, and is augmented by priceless charts and lists of information that it would take us endless amounts of time to compile for ourselves. Management of Headache and Headache Medications addresses both medical and nonmedication techniques, traditional and alternative therapies. I have no doubt this is part of why this book is ranked number one in the world in its category this year.

Included in this book is an exceptional section on headache in children and adolescents. As difficult as it is for us, as adults, to have headaches, it is even more difficult to know what to do for a child with a headache. As parents, we watch the child and wish we could have the headache instead. This section is extremely helpful. Appendix E provides valuable relaxation exercises. In Appendix F, are fantastic Clinical Pearls that give us valuable insights to treatment methods. These are simply a few highlights of Management of Headache and Headache Medications.
