Question: Son with constant pressure in head. Had sinus surgery
Answer:
Full Question:
My son (27) has had headaches (actually feels
more like constant pressure in his head, sometimes almost like his head will
explode) for many years now. He has been to so many doctors here in West Palm
Beach, FL. One Doc said he believed my son had a deviated septum and very bad
sinus blockage....he had an operation on his sinuses twice, and now the doc says
his sinuses are fine and almost healed. It has been over a year now since that
but it didn't seem to help at all, he still had the headaches or pressure in his
head. So he went to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida. They gave him all
new tests....gave him an $11,000 bill even after insurance and said sorry there
is nothing we find wrong & nothing we can do. Go see a neurologists back in West
Palm, which he already did before. This is infuriating....
Answer:
Dear Mrs. Waldman;
This country is replete with headache specialists and people sometime travel long distances to get answers and proper treatment. 4 Tylenols most likely doesn't cut it for treatment. You have some great headache specialists in the Miami area, for starters. It would, of course, be nice if I could provide you with answers, but no matter how detailed your description, it's impossible for me to make specific recommendations as I have never examined Joel.
Good luck,
John Claude Krusz
