Question: Headaches after weight training?

Answer:

Full Question:

I have been training with weights on a regular basis for about 3-4 years. I was doing squats at the end of my leg routine with a moderate amount of weight to failure. When I racked the weight my head began throbbing, so much that I had to sit down because the pain was so intense. I took some Excedrin and had a nap to relieve the pain. I then saw a gp who prescribed me naproxen for inflammation, which he believed was the cause. It's been a week since the incident and anytime I exert myself, the same type of headache begins to take place. I am wondering if this will resolve itself if I lay off any strenuous activity for a period, or if this will now be a chronic issue.
