Question: 16-year-old with first Migraine... Do people ever get one or will there be more?
Answer:
Full Question:
I am a 16 year old boy, who does lots of sport and
eats well. The other day I suffered from what I thought was a headache but now
turns out to have been a migraine - the flashing in the corner of my eye, the
very concentrated pain, etc. I was wondering do people ever get one migraine or
once you have one, does that always mean more are on the way? thanks, Don
Answer:
Dear 16-year-old,
There really isn't a definite answer to your question. Migraine is a
neurological disease. At this time, there's no known cure. Some Migraineurs
experience only a few Migraines in their entire lives, others experience them
quite frequently. It varies from person to person, and nobody can really predict
how it will go for you.
Good luck,
