Question: Any reason for sinus surgery when MRI and CT scans are normal?

Answer:

Dear Michael,

Newer research has been showing that most headaches that had been attributed to sinus are actually Migraine attacks. Some of your symptoms certain fit Migraine disease, but some of your patterns would also be rather unusual for Migraine. Unfortunately, there is no diagnostic test that will confirm a diagnosis of Migraine, or many other types of head pain disorders, for that matter.

At this point, it's terribly difficult to know what to recommend to you other than seeking out a very experienced headache specialist with an established track record. We don't know who you've seen, but it should be noted that it's very easy for someone to say they're a specialist, even if they don't have much experience or advanced training in the field.
