Question: New diet... near daily migraines... could protein powder or soy be problem?

Answer:

Dear Laurie;

There's always the possibility that the protein booster, the soy milk, or the protein meal replacement are Migraine triggers for you. Migraineurs run into that possibility whenever they change their way of eating. The only sure way to find out is to eliminate the booster, soy milk, and protein meal replacement, then add them back. You'll need to eliminate all the diet products for a few days until your daily Migraines stop. Then add one item at a time, waiting several days or a week to be sure that item isn't a trigger. Also, if you added food to your diet that you weren't eating before, they could also be triggers, so it would be a good idea to add them to your elimination list and test them, too.

Good luck,
Teri Robert and John Claude Krusz
