Ask the Clinician

Question: Vitamin B2 for Migraine prevention?

Answer:

Dear Patricia,

Doctors have been recommending Vitamin B2 for Migraine prevention for quite some time now. Although different doctors may vary, most recommend 400 mg per day. Unless you buy a relatively expensive special tablet, what you'll find in pharmacies and vitamin stores is 100 mg tablets. They're just as good as the more expensive ones. Check with your doctor about his/or her recommended dosage.
