Question: Don't know triggers. Zonegran for Migraine prevention?

Answer:

Full Question:

I have had migraine headaches since 1991. I still have not figured out my triggers. In the past year I have tried Verapamil and Propranolol for preventative drugs. They did not help. My Doctor would like me to try Zonegran. I get 1-2 migraines per week. Do you know if Zonegran has been an effective preventative drug for migraines? Would there be a different drug you can recommend? Jennifer

Answer:

Dear Jennifer;

Yes, we have patients using Zonegran quite successfully for Migraine prevention.

Don't give up on determining your triggers. Imagine how wonderful it would be for you if it turns out that some of your triggers are avoidable.

Good luck,
Teri Robert and John Claude Krusz
