Question: Daily TTH, broken blood vessel in eye...?

Answer:

Full Question:

I've suffered from daily tension headaches for at least 12 years. In my right eye, I broke a blood vessel about 5 years ago. I just recently broke a batch more in the same eye on the other side of the iris. I am now on Topamax and Zoloft. Do you have any answers for me concerning whether my eyes will ever heal themselves? My eyes are really red during the day but when I'm relaxed at home they are not as red. Please any info. about this would really help me. Sincerely, Painful Peepers.

Answer:

Dear Painful Peepers;

My strongest suggestion is to talk to your ophthalmologist about the broken blood vessels in your eye and to seek out a local headache expert to talk to her/him about your headaches and their treatment. If you need it, there's a link below to our directory of recommended specialists.

Good luck,
Teri Robert and John Claude Krusz
