Question: Managing type 2 diabetes during a full-blown Migraine?
Answer:
Full Question:
I've suffered from migraines since I was about
5 years old, and I'm almost 56 now. I am currently on Relpax. How can I manage
my type 2 diabetes when having a full-blown migraine? It seems that my blood
glucose levels stay higher, maybe because I usually have nausea and can't keep
metformin, liquids or food down. Thanks for your help. Dorothy.
Answer:
Dear Dorothy;
This is a question about which to ask your doctor who handles your diabetes care and your doctor who handles your Migraine care to consult. There are just too many variables for another doctor to make any suggestions. One thing they may be able to work out is something to address the nausea and vomiting.
Good luck,
