Question: Side effects of too much Botox?

Answer:

Full Question:

What are the side effects of too much Botox? I was told if you got too much, you would not be able to hold your head up after getting injections in back of neck and top of shoulders. My neck got stiffer and it is hard to turn my head. It has been 6 months and my neck is still stiff. The DX was cervical dystonia. I suffer from daily headaches. Bobbie.

Answer:

Dear Bobbie;

I don't know of any bad side effects of "too much" Botox. As you mention, weakness of neck muscles can occur. But not 6 months later! I'd talk to the doctor who gave you the Botox and seek the advice of a headache expert. If you need it, there's a link below to our directory of recommended specialists.

Good luck,
Teri Robert and John Claude Krusz
