Question: Migraines began after stopping Zoloft. Any connection?

Answer:

Full Question:

First, thank you for this opportunity. Never had migraines till my 30's. I was seeing a doctor for an emotional disorder. I was taking Zoloft for my condition. After a year and a half I stopped taking the medicine. Shortly there after my migraines started. Is there any link or any information I can follow up on. Thank you for your time and experience. Scott.

Answer:

Dear Scott;

I think the two events aren't necessarily linked but, rather, independent events. Headaches, including Migraines, are often co-morbid with mood disorders.

Good luck,
Teri Robert and John Claude Krusz
