Question: Pain above eye and in sinus area when sneezing, coughing, bending over?
Answer:
Full Question:
Hi, My name is Al, and I was wondering if some
one would be able to help me. I have had a MRI and CT scan done and nothing
shows up to be abnormal. I am constantly getting pain above my left eye in the
sinus area when I cough, sneeze, laugh, bend over and even when I lay in bed and
move around. It is definitely pressure related it seems but I have been to 3
doctors already and no one knows what to do. My family Doctor is trying so find
some others to go to. Thanks in advance for your help, Al
Answer:
Dear Al;
Your symptoms sounds like they could be related to altered fluid pressure in the system that makes and takes away cerebrospinal fluid. This often can be changed (usually elevated) in the setting of headaches and migraines. I suggest you see a headache specialist in your area, as there are medications that can lower spinal fluid pressure nicely. There's a link to our directory of recommended specialists below.
Good luck,
