3) ... Migraines started after I took on a very stressful manager role at my job. I get them about 3-4 times a month... My symptoms used to be ... Did my Migraines change? Does this happen? Or am I getting a different type of headache? ... Another question. I went to the doctor and was told that my Migraine was triggered by my schedule... I worked 30 hours of overtime in an 8 day period... In reading some articles on this site I read that stress does not cause a migraine... I was wondering if there is anything else I can do besides medication for prevention. Thanks, Melissa.

4) ... Four years ago, I started getting migraines 3-a-day. All the tests were done. Local doctors were no help. I went to The Cleveland Clinic. They said I had a railroad effect and cleared it up quickly. In 2003, the headaches returned slowly at first, and now they are 3 to 5 migraines a week. Largely they are hormonal... They have tried all meds and put me only on a treatment regime. They say I may have to wait until after menopause for this to go away, and it may not even go away then. Did you ever hear of this? Do you have any ideas? Thanks. Therese.

6) ... I have recently been diagnosed as having a "Type of Migraine" because I do not experience an aura, no sensitivity to light, or vomiting. I was given a prescription for Relpax which is a godsend... My family doctor now wants to me to take Zoloft for prevention because the headaches normally occur the week before my cycle and the week of my cycle. Is this a normal medication given to aid in prevention of migraines? I am worried about taking Zoloft... Jennifer.

7) I've been having migraines since the age of 12. Everyone on my mother's side of the family gets them and it's kinda normal now... I've tried the Imitrex family of meds, and they work, but I get this burning sensation on the back of my neck... I've been diagnosed with a dysfunctional thyroid, and in July of 2003 had it removed. Could the thyroid, or other blood issue be causing the burning?...  Daye.

These meds didn't help, and reading the information supplied with them scared the heck out of me. My questions are: 1. Are migraines a common result of fusion surgery... 2.
