1) ...atypical migraines that I was diagnosed with 6 years ago at Johns Hopkins... motion sickness, sensitivity to noise and sound and nausea. No typical headache pounding but some pressure especially in the left side of my head... Mitzi.

2) My best friend has had migraine headaches for years. They are debilitating and nothing has seemed to help. She is currently taking gabapentin and Vicoprofen. They occurred infrequently during her teenage years and have gotten progressively worse since a bout with spinal meningitis approximately 10 years ago... Is there any hope for a patient who has not responded to numerous, numerous treatments in the past?... Thanks. Laurie.

3) My daughter has had 3 classic migraines with auras this year... The aura started small each time with flickering lights in a small oval with the center of the oval being like jelly or swirling. The oval was in her central vision and grew to the right side of her vision and then regressed to normal within 30 - 45 minutes. A slight headache followed each of these three incidents. She has now had a fourth incident that started last Tuesday night at ten pm with the Aura and the aura has not left... I understand that unresolved aura's are quite...

4) I have a disabled friend who has severe migraines. I asked him if he had tried Botox as I'd heard that sometimes Botox is an effective treatment when all else has failed. When he asked his doctor about it, he discouraged him. On the forum, I've been told that Botox is only helpful for tension headaches. I was wondering what your opinion was regarding the use of Botox for severe migraines. As I said he's had these for years and has tried many therapies and meds. My friend, by the way, doesn't use a computer so I'm asking on his behalf. Nancy.

5) I have suffered severe migraine disease for many years as many people from this site have. I know the doctors recommend an MRI as part of a neurological workup when you first start seeing them. Other than something major and obvious like a brain tumor, what else might the doctor be looking for in an MRI?... I’m truly curious because I just had my 3rd MRI, this one done at a different facility than the other 2 (one 2 years ago, one 4 years ago), ordered by my fairly new doctor who wanted the best quality available, and this MRI did pick up some changes in the blood vessels that my doctor says are consistent with migraine sufferers. What do you think? Barbara.

6) My son is 5 years old. Every couple of months he says he has a really bad headache and most of the time the episode is accompanied with vomiting and complaining of a stomach ache. I always take him to the doctor during these episodes and he comes back with the normal, his ears look a little red or he has a sinus infection. Is it possible that my son is suffering from migraines?... LaTasha.

7) Is there a migraine medicine I can take before flying to a high altitude? I live in Florida, flying and high altitudes seem to trigger my migraines. Lisa.

8) When I was 9 years old I had my first migraine, they run in the family. I do not get sick, but am sensitive to light and sound, have blurred or tunnel vision. I am now 21 and do not get many migraines. Instead I get a headache at least 3 to 4 days out of the week, sometimes more. My head will hurt in the back where my spine meats my skull, on one side of my head or the other, sometimes behind my eyes and in my jaw... What should I do? D.B.

9) After an experimental dose of GHB for my narcolepsy 2 years ago, I had for 12 months a small vessel rupture in the meninges part of my brain. I was fine for the past 8 months. February I had this terrible stabbing pain in my eye. Since then I've been on every med for migraine and nothing reduces the burning by the occipital lobe. I'm told by several doctors. I have status migrainous... My question what are the differences or are occipital neuralgia and status migrainous, the same, and have you heard of cases, so severe, so long. Thank you, Karel.

10) I was wondering if people who suffer from migraines have a higher incidence of also suffering from mini strokes than the general population?
