1) My husband's migraines have been getting progressively worse over the last year... We are now searching out a local migraine specialist... Physician wants to put him on more mediation, the ENT wants to operate to cure a deviated septum, and the sleep clinic prescribed a CPAP to help with his sleep..

2) I have been having migraine headaches in my right ear for over 10 years now. Actually the pain is to the pinna, not inside the ear. I have been using Lidocaine nasal spray for over 8 years and it has always stopped the episode. Sometimes I get almost instant relief; other times it may take up to an hour... I am terrified that I may some day become immune to the Lidocaine. Is this a possibility?... Laci.

3) I began experiencing classic migraines at the age of 14... my physician prescribed Midrin which seemed to help with the excruciating pain. Years later, I saw a neurologist as I began experiencing classic migraines more frequently (6x's/year, with such symptoms: visual aura, numbness on hand and lip, and of course, the dreaded headache). He indicated that he would not want to prescribe anything for me since the medications could interfere and cause me to have a stroke....

4) I have had headaches/migraines since I was 19, and I am now 24.. I was talking with my Grandmother recently, and she told me that when she was about my age, she used to get migraine headaches so bad she would have to sit in a dark room until they went away. I had never known this before, so I was wondering if migraines of this nature can be hereditary? Thank you.

5) I suffer from what the doctor calls a typical migraine. It generally starts over the left eye and I am violently sick. When I am sick the only way I can describe it when I bend down is as if my brain is trying to come out through just above my eye brows... I have also had these symptoms without the headache, which my doctor calls a silent migraine. I am 52-years-old and wondered if this puts me at risk...

6) I am 21 and have had migraines for about 15 years that I can remember. My mom always had to rock me to sleep with a warm washrag on my head. I have been to the doctor several times with different prescriptions, none seem to work. The only thing that seems to work is to go to sleep... Do you have any ideas or suggestions for a type of medication to go on?...

7) I am 27-years-old. Eight years ago I had a peculiar headache. It was preceded by visual disturbances (like glaring or flashing) for about 15 or 20 minutes. Then it stopped and after few minutes a severe headache started and l normally lasted for half an hour. Sometimes I even had nausea after the headache... Later I approached some homeopathy doctors... Last week the headache attacked me with the same symptoms. After that there were two incidents where I had only the visual disturbances (lasting for about 20 min) which wasn't succeeded by headache. And now for the past two days, my eyes are sort of weak and dizzy...

8) I have migraines so severe that my vision fades and ceases, and my speech gets blurred. Sometimes I can hardly think straight. This has happened all my life started when I was six or seven. Doesn't happen all the time but often enough to scare me. have never heard of anyone losing vision or controlling speech and wondered if this is normal. I am now 79 had and had episode like that yesterday.

I then foolishly took myself off the drug 1 year later .Since then(5 years)  have been suffering migraines very frequently lately. I am trying a more natural route but, have failed so far. I feel that I may have to return to meds again….After reading some of the info on your site I am a little confused...
