1) I have been getting mild headaches with severe dizziness when a storm front is about to arrive. The dizziness increases with head or eye movement and can induce vomiting... These headaches are new since I started menopause and appear to be increasing (although the stormy weather has also been on the increase)...

2) I have been a chronic migraine sufferer for 8 years now. Not everyday includes a migraine, but everyday does include a headache. Recently my migraines have severely intensified, and I am not receiving the same effect from my pain medication as I used to... I was just wondering if there are any new pain meds out there that might be effective, even to just give the Fiorinal a break for a while... Amber.

3) I am a diagnosed migraineur... At present the daily medications taken to prevent migraine are: Verapamil/240mg: Valproic Acid/250mg: Metoprolol/50mg: Amitriptyline/50mg.... My problem is the side effects of the preventative medications. Extremely severe constipation: weight gain. Do you have any observations or suggestions? Sincerely, Barry.

4) My daughter is 16 and has had severe migraines since the age of six. She gets as many as 5 a week. Her school work is compromised and she's now backed into a corner because she's a junior. We have tried so many medications that I can't list them all. Her eating habits are terrible. She vomits for 24 hours straight during some of her attacks. I have no doubt that one of the main causes of her migraines is her diet. I seem to always be chasing her around with pills and food. She refuses to eat breakfast and my husband thinks he is helping by letting her stop at the convenience store for a caffeine drink, a pack of gum and possibly, on a good day, a muffin, energy bar or a pack of donuts. I feel that I'm howling at the moon...  Daryl.

5) I am a 28-year-old female, for the past month I've been suffering from severe headache... I was diagnosed with migraine about 10yrs ago. But all these years it has not been so severe. A recent appointment with a neurologist he said that it was a tension headache - which if not treated properly could lead to depression... Mrs. Ramesh.

6) I have been getting headaches ever since my son was born 5 and a half years ago. They are entirely too frequent and come like twice a week in a migraine style. Sometimes it is still difficult for me to place differences between a simple headache that is curable with Motrin. or if it is going to be a migraine... Any advice on the differences of headaches? Thank you Danielle.

7) Is there any relationship to low spinal fluid and headaches? How do you determine low spinal fluid and how to repair leak if any? Larry.

8) My mate of 4 years suffers from intense headaches at least 3 to 4 times a week. 99% of the time he has to lay down in a dark room with no noise and sleep them off. Sometimes they last for hours, he complains of intense pain and wants me to squeeze his head to stop or relieve the pain... In the last 4 or 5 months a new thing has been happening, when we engage in sex, at the point of orgasm or seconds after, he has an explosive headache that lasts for hours... What causes this and how can the headache be prevented or avoided?...

9) How old are people when migraines generally start happening?

10) I'm a 43 year-old-woman who had never experienced much in the way of a headache, much less a migraine until 2 months ago. I wound up in the ER with this headache and vomiting.,. A brain MRI did turn up one interesting little thing. A Chiari 1 malformation... Any suggestions on where to turn? Or do people sometimes just suddenly develop a chronic migraine overnight? I have barely been able to function for 2 months, I can't imagine living like this for the rest of my life. Thanks! Cammie.
