1) I am a 22-year-old male who has been suffering with a headache unlike any other I have had for the past 5 weeks. The headache is persist and has not once vanished although the intensity of it varies between 5 and 9 sometimes reducing me to tears... It is located around my left temple and eye and rarely moves... Any suggestions of how I can get rid of this headache or how I can at least reduce the pain I am in every day. Many thanks, James from Devon UK.

2) Dear Dr. Krusz, Thanks for your informative answers. Have a question directed toward a popular workout supplement at the moment. Most of them are known as N.O. formulas - which radically boost nitric oxide production - thus making for bigger muscle pumps and increased vascularity... However since it is doing exactly the opposite of what migraine medicine is supposed to do: that is restrict blood flow (vasoconstrictors) is this a no-no supplement for Migraineurs?... Thanks so much for your time, Ian in Phoenix.

3) Exercise during Migraines? I get *hemiplegic* (sp?) migraines about 60% of the time, about 20 being severe enough to be bedridden. During this time my blood pressure sky rockets (naturally the more pain, the higher it goes). It can range (during a headache) from about 160-180/95-120. My exercise instructor claims that the *best* thing to do is FORCE yourself to exercise during a headache... Thank you, Annette.

4) My daughter periodically (2 -3 weeks) complains of back "going out" always the sign soon followed by migraine. Some relief (she says) by cranial-sacral session at chiropractor. Multiple years problem. Was diagnosed as child with mild scoliosis. Is this unheard of? Chiropractor says she goes through pelvic shift. Can this cause headaches? Is this unheard of? Is permanent relief out there? Beverly.

5) Hi - I'm a 45-year-old male who has suffered with migraines since age 14. In the last five years, I've averaged about 5 migraines per month. I very rarely get a headache - my problem is that I experience an extended period of aura, numbness, and sometimes confusion... My question is, is there any medication available that is effective at aborting the aura phase of migraine?

6) I'm a 45-year-old female. In 2003, my pain management doctor (2 back surgeries) changed my meds to a Duragesic 25mcg patch every 72 hours and Baclofen 10mg 3X daily. A few days later the patch was increased to 50mcg, then a few months later to 75mcg. I suddenly began to experience what my eye doctor says is acephalgic migraines... Is it possible for medications to cause acephalgic migraines? Is it possible for a bulging disc at C4-5 to cause acephalgic migraines? Thank you, Casey.

7) Is there a form of Maxalt available *without* aspartame in it? thank you in advance, Susan.

8) I am a 50-year-old female. Within the last year, I began having night sweats which responded well to Estradiol. A month ago, after having dinner in a restaurant and ingesting three alcoholic beverages over the course of about 4 hours, I developed a migraine, which lasted about 24 hours. Since then, I've had three more, all triggered by alcohol... My online research would seem to suggest that migraines get better with the onset of menopause, not worse. Is my experience at all common?... Mollie

9) I have been suffering from migraine headaches for the last 15 years. I am approaching 40 and feel like they are coming more frequently during the month. I'm considering going on a daily preventative medication. Any suggestions??

10) I have been diagnosed with migraine and occipital neuralgia. Since February I have severe debilitating burning at the nape of my neck going to the back of my head, where the 2 bumps are on one's head. I have tried all the drugs. I would like to know are there any anti-inflammatory drugs used solely for neuralgia. Right now I only get relief from ice. Bextra and Indocin both game me severe edema. Naprosyn last time worked great but now does nothing. Karel
