1) ... If I were to have a hysterectomy and have my ovaries removed thus no longer having hormone fluctuations would that decrease the incidence of my migraines? I know I would be on estrogen therapy for a while but it would be constant rather than peaking and then bottoming out...

2) I...My headaches are usually in the sinus zone sometimes behind my right eye and a lot of the time in the lower back part of my skull on both sides which is tender... My ENT thinks I may have migraines but I don't have any of the symptoms. I have been reading about Occipital neuralgia and I do have those symptoms... Should I see a neurologist?...

3) Eight years ago my 22-year-old daughter suffered a vertibrobasilar infarct. This was very massive. She has gained back everything except her soft palette and some balance problems. Kim is even able to live on her own. The problem is that she was having extreme migraines before the stroke. Then she stopped having them. They are now back. Is there any correlation between strokes and migraines? Kim had a large hole in her heart which was fixed a year after the stroke. Thank you for your time. Theresa.

4) ... Recently I have had a headache from the front of my head to the back of my ear. During this I have lots of pressure in my ear and it aches like a very bad ear ache. I was treated for a sinus infection. The last time this happen my doctor had me get and cat scan on the sinuses and it all came back normal. He sent me to an ears, nose and throat doctor. He thinks it sounds like its a migraine. Can a migraine headache make the bone behind the ear hurt and the ear have lots of pressure in it? During all these years of migraines this has never happened. He is going to test me for inner ear disease. If that's normal he is going to send me to a neurologist.

5) I have had severe rebound headaches for many years. I have tried weaning off the Imitrex or Excedrin many times but I can never make it, the pain is too severe... I recently heard of a treatment that makes a great deal of sense to me. You put the patient on the Morphine Patch for a period of 3 to 6 weeks... I was wondering if anyone had any information or knew of any articles or web sites that had information on this therapy for rebound headaches. Thank you!

6) I am not sure if you will answer this for me but here goes. I pass out during 8-10 +++ migraines, every time. Have you ever heard of this before? And I am wondering when the medical field mostly the male doctors will be getting a reality check. I am wondering if it will become mandatory for doctors to learn about migraines so people like me and hundreds of others don't feel the need to hide our pain or deny it because our doctors accuse us of being drug seeking junkies or tell us it is hormonal and all in our heads! No offence meant, but doctors seem to think they are god at the best of times and they do not like being told that no they are wrong and that they need to take a step down from that rarified air they seem to breathe and really listen to their patients. Hope this question is in the bounds of what you will answer. Cheers, dlm.

Now I have "headaches" that occur every few days that include a sharp pain in the top left side of my head... Any clue as to what may be causing these episodes of pain? Thank you! Tonya.
