  • 2) Having just spent the weekend in Emergency again this makes four headaches in four weeks. The duration of each headache is approximately 3 or 4 days. I have lumps often, and at this point in time have them again behind my ears on my skull. I have had a cat scan but everything was clear. I have no fever at the time of the headaches. Codeine is doing nothing and I have had to survive with no analgesic until Saturday when in Emergency I received two shots of morphine and gravol. I am now feeling very depressed. I cannot live like this. It is just impossible. Linda.

  • 4) I need a bit information what I should do. Am come from Scandinavia and now am living in AZ, 7000 feet up mountains. Sometimes I have had headache or Migraine in my PMS days. But its just a little pain and its only in one day of a month. But now I have problem every single time when we have a trip from mountains to Phoenix, am getting awful Migraine pain in same or in next day. The bright sunlight like cut into my eyes like the sharp knife and am having really bad pain. I have taken Excedrin and hold ice bag in my forehead. I think this a la Phoenix migraine is caused by the trip from mountain to the sea level. Is anything what I should to do before when we have a trip that my Migraine doesn't attack me so badly or better NOT AT ALL? Chris .

  • 5) Sunday I had a terrible migraine and took Imitrex (oral) 100mg. I started getting side effects - such as - difficulty breathing, tightness of chest and throat and difficulty swallowing. As the night went on the symptoms lessened and now they are gone. I read up on IMITREX and saw that it said that if you had those symptoms to contact your physician. Since the symptoms went away do I still need to contact my doctor? Is it a sign of an underlying problem if these symptoms occur? Should I be concerned? Thank you for your help. Devorah.

  • 6) I have struggled for years with migraine, and also with back problems stemming from severe scoliosis. A recent MRI showed that I have marked dural ectasia in my lower spine. I guess the good news is that the orthopedist told me that I don't have to worry about any impingement on my spinal cord and nerves because my spinal canal is so wide, however, I am concerned about the dural ectasia, and believe it may be the root of much of my back pain. I have never been able to tolerate trigger point injections, epidurals, etc., as pain management techniques, because they trigger horrible migraines for about 2 weeks straight. In addition, one of the worst symptoms I experience during a migraine is horrible aching pain in my lower back and legs. I am wondering if there could be a connection between the migraines and the dural ectasia. Any thoughts? Thanks!
