1) Sometimes I have a sharp pain on my temple. Sometimes, it happens several times in one day. Sometimes it does not happen for months. Do you know what this is? Do I need to see my doctor? Thank you, Sarah.

2) I have been suffering from cluster headaches for over thirty years. I am male, now in my mid forties. I have been happily in remission for three years and am petrified at the prospect of the certain return of a cluster phase. In my case, the usual frequency is one or two a day for one to two hours of absolute debilitating pain. The clusters generally last for three to five weeks. During my last phase I found Imitrex nasal spray to be effective, but I am nonetheless afraid. Are there any breakthroughs in this area? Thank You, LK.

4) I have been having migraines since age 11. I am now 35. I am in the process of looking for a new neurologist due to a move from another state. I get migraines on a daily basis. 4 years ago my migraines left me paralyzed on my right hand side and unable to speak for approximately 6-8 hrs. The ER called it a TIA. I am extremely agitated and sensitive to noise. My previous neurologist treated me with Calan and a combination of Aleve and Phenergan. That reduced the frequency of my migraines a lot. I am a little concerned about taking all these medications though for possibly the rest of my life. What is your thought on acupuncture and any other "alternative" treatment for these migraines? Can the acupuncture work on it's own or do I need to combine with some medication? Thank you kindly.

6) For as long as I can remember I have been having bouts of abdominal pain, nausea and occasionally vomiting. I am now 69 and the vomiting is mainly absent. As a child the vomiting was sometimes severe with delirium on a few occasions. About five years ago, a physician diagnosed abdominal migraine which he told me was relatively common in children but that most adults "got over it." Any comments appreciated and advice about medication/prevention, etc. Mary.
