  • 1) When I was 12-years-old I was diagnosed with migraine headaches. I am 38-years-old now and still have migraines 6-8 times a year. I have had every test done possible. Still nothing. Imitrex helps but I always get a rebound headache 2-3 days later. I suffer from common migraines always with an aura. About 2 years ago I had poison ivy really bad and got some prednisone to take. I felt the best I did in years. I took the prednisone for 2 weeks after that I had no migraines for 6 months. Was this just me or could prednisone help a migraine sufferer like me? Thanks Rick.

  • 2) I have been having headaches almost daily for 3-4 months. I was thinking it was sinus because pain in located behind face, but it is EXCRUCIATING. I take Benadryl which is the only thing that takes off the edge. I have a history of classic migraines but it's been a while. Lately I've noticed that my head starts feeling weird (like dizziness or buzzing) and I get very sensitive to light, smell, noise, then get bad headache and nausea. What is happening to me? Is it migraine or sinus? Please help if you can. Don't know were to turn as to what kind of headache this is and get some relief for good! Thanks.

  • 3) Often, my head gets itchy--its inside my head, not my scalp. I have a lipoma in my 3rd ventricle, but it isn't changing in size. I will be getting another MRI in the next couple of weeks. I was just wondering what could cause itchiness. Thank you. Gail.

  • 4) I am a patient of Migraine. I have this problem since 1987. I was diagnosed in 1988 in Pakistan. I came to China last year and consulted a doctor for Herbal Chinese medicine. Since last three months I'm taking the medication prescribed by Chinese Medicine practitioner and the Migraine attack was reduced to nominal level of 1 in two months. This is a course of six months. I would like to ask whether the symptoms will completely disappear or will reappear again in the future. I'm Sayed.

  • 5) I started the L.A. Shape Diet and have lost 6 Lb. is 2 weeks. But I have had a migraine headache and the end of almost every day. I was wondering if it could be the protein booster or the possibility of being allergic to Soy? I don't want to quit the diet which seems to be balanced nutritionally. I eat lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats and two protein drinks a day with, 1 cup soy milk, tsp. soy protein booster, 1 cup fruit, protein meal replacement, 1 sweet and low or Splenda. I have also switched to stevia, thinking it might be the sweeteners that are the trigger. Any suggestions? Thank you, Laurie.

  • 6) I started having chronic migraines 4 or 5 years ago (I'm 48 - female). I've been through all the tests and no tumors etc. I've been noticing that my nose sometimes gets bright red but my nasal passage's seem only slightly congested. I can usually tell a migraine is coming on when I get liquidy congestion in my ears and back of my throat but this bright nose thing is relatively new. My daily meds are Welbutrin XL & Adderal (for attention deficit) in the morning and Seroquel at night (to sleep since I suffered a major bout with depression - also about 5 yrs ago) and I just started taking Keppra (levetiracetam) at night prescribed by my Neurologist due to the increased number of migraines (I have headaches more days out of the month than not). It's hard for me to tell if I'm having sinus problems, migraines, or some other kind of headache and usually don't know what kind of medication to take. I also thought the headaches were from menopause but tried HRT too and didn't help my headaches (I had a partial hysterectomy at age 33 - still have ovaries). I take Imitrex for Migraines that usually works pretty well but the headaches last for days on end. Any suggestions?
