1) I have a six and 1/2 year old daughter who has recently begun suffering severe headaches, usually accompanied by nausea, and occasionally vomiting. She kicks out her legs in response to the severe pain, and they are always located in or at the occipital lobe. They last 2-4 hours, and she usually needs a lot of rest afterwards. I am beginning to log her episodes, and wonder: How early can migraine begin in a person? ( Her father and his brother suffer from migraine as well.) Thank you for any insight you can provide. Pat.

2) For about six years now I've been suffering from what I would call an exertion headache. It seems to start from a neck injury that I sustained about two years before the problem started. The pain starts in my upper neck and radiates up into the back of my head. It creates a very stiff neck. It is triggered by any type of exertion but is much worse when I have to bend over. At first it would take a long hard day of work to start the problem but now nine holes of golf will put me out of commission. I've had to restrict my work to strictly supervisory in order to function. At thirty six years of age I find myself unable to play with my daughters who are two and five for any length of time. Please give me some good advice. Sincerely, Chris.

3) I have been getting headaches for the last 3 months. First I thought it was stress but I have now finished college and the headaches are still there. I have them every day not as soon as I wake but within the hour I can feel a pain above my left eyebrow- its worse on bending, coughing, laughing. It sometimes only lasts a few seconds but can come on thru the day a number of times and sometimes is a real stabbing pain. My eye has recently felt sore but there's nothing to see-I have left my contact lenses out, my bloods and BP are OK- GP is sending me for a sinus X ray. Any ideas what it could be?

4) I know someone who takes injections for cluster headaches. Diagnosed with clusters severe headaches and passing out. Is it possible for someone being medicated for clusters to pass out to the point of not being able to get a pulse only at the neck; and then blood pressure is fine? Passing out and not being able to bring back for say 5-10 minutes. Can treatment cause dehydration which causes passing out as described above. Thank you.

5) Lately I have been having migraines. Sometimes it is just a dull throbbing pain and others are intense but I continuously have a headache, the pain never goes away. I have also been extremely nauseous and have been vomiting. My doctor told me to try over the counter migraine medicine and that does absolutely nothing for me. Neither does aspirin, Aleve, Tylenol, or Excedrin and Motrin. I have even taken like 8 to 10 of those at a time. It is now affecting my day to day life cause my head always hurts and I feel nauseous and it makes me irritable with my family. My mom use to have horrible migraines too. Is it hereditary or is it just a phase of my life? My doctor dismisses me like its nothing. Are all doctors not understanding?

6) My co-worker's son on occasion suffers from extreme headaches. These headaches are so severe that he will cry and hold his head - I'm not sure of the length of time they last though. However, during these episodes he complains about seeing rainbows. Her son also has ADD and recently went through a change in medication. The doctors told her the headaches were due to the change in his medicine. Is that right or is there possibly another reason for the headaches? I told her she should have him checked by another doctor as seeing rainbows and severe pain seems much more serious than just a change of medicine. What should she do and what else, if anything, could be causing the headaches?
