1) I am a 45 y/o male who has been suffering with headaches about 10 years. They started out mild to moderate and I used OTC sinus meds and Tylenol. Over the years they worsened and I saw several neurologists... I've been on opioids (which have caused rebound headaches)... Do you feel that the rebound headaches will eventually lessen and that I can expect some relief as long as I don't go back to the opioids?... Daniel.

2) Last summer, I noticed that pretty near every day that I spent even a small amount of time in the sun, I developed a headache. I didn't receive the same amount over the winter... Now that the sunny weather has just started again, I have noticed that even if I spend only less than an hour outside in the sun, I still develop that same headache. Is there any link to the sun and constant headaches? Vicki

3) I am male, and a migraine sufferer for the past 24years. I live in South Africa, and have not been able to find a successful preventative measure to either prevent/reduce the amount/severity of the migraines I get. I get migraine on average 6 to 8 times per month. I have heard about the new way of treating migraines using testosterone treatment... doctor, and he is willing to try the treatment, but not knowing the details about this, he does not know the dosages recommended. Can you assist by recommending method of treatment, as well as recommended dosage? Kobus.

5) Daily headaches began for me in my late teens, and continued until my headache Doctor diagnosed me at the age of 29 with Rebound headaches from the Excedrin that I had been taking for the pain. I stopped 'cold turkey,' and after a painful period of adjustment, the headaches diminished. My problem now is that ANY time I take an analgesic for aching muscles from flu or pain of arthritis, even if I only take 2 Advil, for example, I invariably suffer from a Rebound Headache... Kaye.

6) My daughter is 14 and just started menstruating late last summer. She has complained of throbbing headaches since she was a little girl. We do have migraine in our family... Her neurologist says Migraine and prescribed Topamax and Axert. Since she doesn’t have debilitating pain, I don’t see the point in the Axert since it is not a long term preventative, do you? And the Topamax FDA warnings scare me... Please give me pros and cons on whether or not I should medicate my daughter at this age and stage... Thanks, rjf

7) I have recently been diagnosed with Variate Migraines although my symptoms are that of Hemiplegic Migraines. Are they at all the same? I am currently taking Depakote, Hyzaar, Inderal, Zanaflex, Aspirin, and Plavix. I had heard that Plavix and Aspirin shouldn't be taken if you are a woman, is this true? ... Theaudrey

8) My son who is 13 years old. He started having abdominal migraine attacks at age 12. He was put on certain medications to try to lessen the amount and duration of attacks. He was doing better for a short period of time, then the doctors decided to reduce his medication. The attacks came back with a vengeance. He suffers attacks everyday... Darlene.
