) My partner, has show increasingly poor cognitive abilities. He suffered from severe Bickerstaff Migraines as a child to the point where he would pass out. He no longer has the headaches but the problems with his cognitive abilities hinder him in all aspects of his life. Could the migraines have caused this and is there a way to treat it? Most Sincerely, Cindy.

) I have been taking Topamax for migraines (100 mg. daily for the past two months, after titrating up). It was working like a miracle! Then my gynecologist put me on Depo Provera for suspected Endometriosis. Since then I've noticed my migraines returning. Would it be OK to ask my neurologist to increase my dosage of Topamax or, am I already on a high dosage for migraines?

) I was recently prescribed propranolol for recurring headaches (MRI showed nothing specific). However, I am a scuba diver and several websites seem to suggest that beta blockers are contraindications for diving. Do you know what migraine prescription I can take that will not affect my diving skills?

) I had a sudden onset of headache approximately 7 weeks ago. This headache remained constant for four weeks, (it was the worst headache I have ever had). For the last three weeks I have headaches on and off that have woken me from my sleep. I feel nauseated all the time and on many occasions I have actually vomited... I have been to my GP three weeks ago who prescribed a codeine based painkiller... I was also wondering if the new contraceptive pill I started 6 months ago could be the cause. Thanks, Suzi.

) I am 49 years old and going through menopause. I suffer from really bad migraine before and during my period. The attach usually starts during the night, I am asleep and I half wake up with an incredible urge to stretch my arm and legs, after that the pain starts. I cannot stop myself from doing it, I feel I need to stretch myself. I just wanted to know if this is something you have ever heard about before. Thanks, Moira.

) ...I have had headaches since I was around 2 or 3 years old. I can get them about four or five times a week or sometimes they last for several weeks at a time. I have a family history of headaches and migraines... Should I be worried about anything thing besides stress that could be causing this? Should I go see a doctor? What questions should i ask him? Thank You, Crystal.

) I am considering taking magnesium, riboflavin and feverfew daily as a preventative for migraines. I take Motrin and other NSAIDs for my headaches when they occur but have read that people taking feverfew should not take NSAIDs at the same time as it may cause internal bleeding. Is this correct? Thank you in advance. Donald.

) My 12 yr old daughter has been having constant headaches, sore throat, nausea and dizziness since August. She hasn't had a day where she was symptom free. Her MRI, ultrasound, blood work all came back negative. Prescribed medications are not working, including her latest -Amitryptiline. She's been on Nasonex to no avail... Her pediatrician's next step is to see a psychiatrist. They suspect adjustment disorder.

) ... After this my brother experienced extreme disorientation and ended up calling his wife and family members talking incoherently and looking for help. He evidently didn't know where he was, what was going on, or where he lived, and he couldn't see. The preliminary verdict from his neurologist is that the episode was the result of a bad reaction to the drug. What long term effects can an episode like this have?... can you point me to some more information about this drug? ... Thank you, Kathleen.
