1) I think I recently had my first
experience with a migraine. I was seen in the ER and admitted and eventually
diagnosed with Transitional Global Amnesia and gastroenteritis. From what I have
read on your website, I think it might have been a migraine. Unfortunately I
don't remember about 6 hours of the episode... Is there a connection between TGA
and migraines and what suggestions do you have for me?? Thanks, Rochelle.

3) Hi, I am a 23 year old female,
and for about 3 years I have been having what the doctors call migraines. I have
tried many different medications, and nothing has worked. They start out with me
getting disoriented. Second I lose all my peripheral vision. Next my comes
numbness, first to my arms, and hands. Next my nose, cheeks, tongue, teeth, and
even the inside of my throat... My question is: Is this normal, or even migraine
activity at all. Thank you for your time, and I'll be watching for your
response. Shanna.

4) Ive had a migraine with light
and sound sensitivities for almost three months now and cannot work because of
it. My neurologist seems about ready to give up on ideas to help me. MRIs, etc
are all OK... Nothing seems to be working. Do you have any ideas?

5) I have an unusual headache. I
have noticed for the last several years, that when I laugh at something, the
back of my head, usually between my ears all the way across, hurts bad. I have
to force myself to stop laughing because the pain gets really bad... . Thank
you, Ramona

6) Hi. I think my 15 yr old son is
experiencing 'exertion headaches'. He recently joined the fencing team and
started exercising regularly... Here's what my real worry is: physically
he strongly favors my side of the family and within the last 6 months my
(seemingly) completely healthy and fit 42 yr old brother suffered a sudden
cardiac death episode... What kind of doctor should my son see? ... Thank you,
Maria

7) I have recently had
uncontrollable disabling migraines... Most of the triptans do not work for these
new migraines. The neurologist has given me nortriptyline in a progression from
10 - 40 mg daily as a preventative... Do you know if nortriptyline has any
impact on cortisol? .. Do you have any understanding of how magnesium effects
the brain or hormones? .. Brandy

woman mother of a 10 year old. I have suffered from migraines since I was 14.

about 76 and I was driving to work with no air. After about 25 minutes I felt my

10) This question is concerning my
husband's sister. We believe, and she seems to agree, that she has become
addicted to the drugs prescribed for her migraine headaches. She has at her
disposal 180 Percocet pills a month, Demerol shots to use as needed, two
anti-seizure medications (for she also has seizures), one of those being
Neurontin. She takes 14 different medications she recently told us... Thank-you!
T.
