There are quite a few discussions on our forums about depression. It's also a frequent topic of the questions I'm asked. That's quite understandable because depression and physical disorders that involve pain tend to be comorbid disorders. What does that mean? Comorbid is a term applied to conditions that exist simultaneously with and usually independently of each other. In the case of Migraine disease and depression, researchers believe there is a neurochemical link. Among Migraineurs, 47% experience “major” or “clinical” depression although the prevalence in the general population is just 17%.

Just as there tend to be a lot of misconceptions about Migraine disease and other head pain disorders, there are a lot of misconceptions about depression. This simple, ten-question quiz addresses some of those misconceptions.
