  • Visual Auras
I was wondering what kind of visual auras people get... I'm trying to decipher between retina problems and possible migraine auras. I haven't had a migraine since November 01 but since then have had two surgeries for my retinas as they both were found to have tears in them. I'm a high risk patient for retinal detachment... some of the signs for new tears and what not are flashes of light and floaters. There's this one spot that I get.. it's a small dot right in the middle of my visual field. It moves with my eyes but when I try to look at it, it just makes me dizzy... was wondering if that was an aura. Saw doc last week and other than my right retina showing signs of lattice degeneration, I'm doing alright.
  • Found a good substitute for Fioricet
Hi, I don't post much & most of that has been in the cluster HA folder. I do have tension HA's frequently & was taking Fioricet. It helped the tension HA's but something in them was making me feel so sick. I talked to the doc & pharmacist about it & am now taking Phrenilin. I'd never heard of it but it has the exact ingredients as Fioricet without the caffeine. So far my body is tolerating it better & if I need caffeine with it it can be added with a cup of coffee or hot tea (or whatever is preferred containing caffeine). My pharmacy did not carry Phrenilin & had to order it - it took a couple of days to get. Just wanted to share this in case anyone taking Fioricet may be having trouble with it or maybe just wants to cut out some of the caffeine. Hope you're all having a good day!
  • It's Hereditary
When I arrived for my daughter's parent-teacher conference, the teacher seemed a bit flustered, especially when she started telling me that my little girl didn't always pay attention in class and was sometimes a little flighty. "For example, she'll do the wrong page in the workbook," ...
  • Open, open, open . . . maybe
It was the day of the big sale. Rumors of the sale (and some advertising in the local paper) were the main reason for the long line that formed in front of the store by 8:30, the store's opening time. A small man pushed his way to the front of the line, only to be pushed back, amid loud and colorful curses...
