What is this????
I have had a daily headache for about 3 years. It's the same kind of headache
that you would have for oversleeping till noon or 2 in the afternoon on a
Saturday. Pressure behind the eyes and is relieved by closing my eyes. My
doctor has put me on allergy medicine, but to not help. He has sent me to the
eye doctor for a complete review. They gave me a picture of eye health report.
80% of the time 2 aspirin help. Today 3 aspirin does not seem to help the
pressure behind my eyes. Any thoughts on what may cause the pressure?

Canadian doctors/strategy
On suggestion from another thread, anyone who has advice on "working" the
peculiarities of the Canadian system, or advice in general when looking for
proper, prompt, and effective treatment, now's your chance to post 'em.

Sinus Surgery??
Went to sinus specialist yesterday and had CT scan done. Infection is still
there. Apparently I have had so many infections, it has reshaped my sinuses!
So now there is a much narrow area for fluid to flow... thus it just gets
worse and worse with each sinus infection. And my allergies don't help.
Anyway, the doc STRONGLY recommends surgery to reshape the passageways. But he
talked about the rare occurrence of eye or brain damage. So that is scary
stuff. Also, I have heard pros and cons on how effective it is. Can anyone who
has gone through this tell me if it really worked for them or not?

I just want to remind everyone to take a good look at all your meds. I went to
my gp on Friday for a check-up and med refills. Although it is posted on all
of my records that I am allergic to aspirin I was given Percodan for pain. As
many here know that drug contains ASA. I didn't notice until I got home and
the pharmacy didn't notice either. I called my gp this morning and had the med
changed and asked the pharmacy if my allergies were on record (they were). So,
just make sure you double check all of the meds you get for any mistakes.
