Depression
Does anyone out there get very depressed after having a severe migraine (level
10 with vomiting)? I seem to be going along, coping with the migraines,
bipolar and chronic fatigue syndrome until BOOM I get a really bad 2-day
migraine where I can barely get to the bathroom to throw up, can't eat or
drink and am in extreme pain and feel very alone. After the pain is gone and
I'm no longer throwing up I become very depressed and hopeless, despite all
the meds I'm on. I also feel scared. Anyone else have this experience?

Chronic Tension Headaches
There are many stories about migraine headaches and would like to hear from a
chronic tension sufferer. I suffer severely with chronic (tension) headaches.
I cannot even touch my temples around to my ear and jaws. I work and I am in
constant pain. My neck is painful. I have tried so many meds over 10 years.
Elavil - many antidepressants, painkillers (fiornal, etc.), muscle relaxants.
Massage, vitamins, everything. I hear about Celebrex, Ultram, Vioxx - out now.
Has anyone ever tried them?

Rebound Hell--Help!
All - I have visited this website off and on for a while and have found it to
be very informative and supportive. I am a chronic headache sufferer with
frequent migraines. I take at least one narcotic dose (oxycotin or darvocet)
and/or over the counter pain reliever everyday. I have been in rebound
headache hell for some time now and understand that I must break the cycle --
this chronic pain is really beginning to affect my life in many negative ways.
I have chosen next week to go off my meds. I will be seeing my neuro (who I
sort of feel helped me get into this mess) tomorrow and letting him know. I
have cleared my schedule from work, have set up massages, chiropractic
appointments, a facial, and other distracting activities, have talked this
over with my husband and chiropractor (who started me on heavy doses of detox-vitamins).
But I know all this is not enough. I am looking to hear from others who have
done this and have helpful hints on how to get over the hump. Anyone?

What to ask a neurologist
A couple of years ago, after being told my numerous neurologists that there
was nothing they could do for me, I spent all my energy and efforts on finding
a good pain management specialist. That is all sorted so now in December I am
going to take the big step back on to the band wagon and go to see a new
neurologist. Any advice as to what questions I should ask? I have not done it
for so long plus it was usually my mum and dad as I am comparatively young.
Any help much appreciated.

"What does love mean?" (Humor)
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to
8-year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and
deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think...

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her
toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all he time, even when his
hands got arthritis too. That's love."

You know that your name is safe in their mouth."
