QUESTION:

I get Migraines and Headaches, which seem to have formed their pattern around my menstrual period. I am in the process of finding a new Neurologist and found one that specializes in Neurology AND Internal Medicine, would that combination provide me with better coverage than just a doctor who specializes in Neurology? Or would it not make a difference? Your help would really be appreciated on this as I want to make the most informed decision possible for my health. Thank You. Michelle

REPLY:
Dear Michelle: I appreciate your inquiry, as it relates to a better degree of comprehensive car for you. I don't know your age, but if you are in your late 30's or older, it might be a good idea to have the internist/neurologist on board. If your headache pattern has changed, it might be time to see a headache specialist in your area. Good luck
John Claude Krusz.
