Review: 
     Judith Springer is now a widow and still a “wannabee” detective.
     When a local housewife, Courtney Lowenstein, once a former investment broker and now turned into the “perfect mommy” is missing and then found dead in her covered swimming pool months later, it intrigues Judith to no end.
     The police as a rule, suspect the husband. His father is a “former” gangster by the name of “Fancy Phil”. Since the husband refuses Judith’s help, "Fancy Phil" meets with Judith and tells her he wants to clear his son’s name.
     While sleuthing, Judith’s former lover Nelson Sharpe (still on police force but not in homicide) warns her of being involved with Phil Lowenstein.
     It is a good mystery and one can solve the crime with Judith with of course a surprise ending.
     A good summer reading mystery. Gets wordy at times, but I skim over that.
