Ask the Clinician
Question: I am a 21-year-old man who has recently started suffering from migraines, I have never had them before in my life. A few weeks ago I was exposed to a large dosage of a dangerous chemical (by inhalation), later that day I had all the symptoms of a migraine. They lasted for 4 days then went away. I have had 2 more attacks since then, could the exposure wake up dormant reactions to sensory triggers by lowering my resistance?
Answer:

Dear 21-year-old;
This is a very excellent theoretical and perhaps practical question. Without discussing what the large dosage dangerous chemical was (and there are some that can set off ferocious headaches) and dosage etc, it becomes impossible to speculate on its ability to bring latent headache that may have been dormant.
Best of luck,
John Claude Krusz
