Ask the Clinician
Question: My boyfriend is 24 years old and is having these headaches that don't really go away. He explains them to me by it feeling like his brain is to big for his head. He has had them for a few days now and I'm wondering if it could be a tension headache. Patty.
Answer:

Dear Patty,

What your boyfriend describes could be a tension headache, but we can't safely just assume that. Head pain should always be investigated by a doctor. Please have him see his doctor for diagnosis and possible treatment.

Good luck,
Teri Robert
