Ask the Clinician

Question: Migraine with vertigo in a shop with a lot of lighting...

Answer:

Dear Lin,

What you describe sounds like it could be vertigo. Vertigo can accompany a Migraine, but he really should call his doctor to be sure. Bright lighting, especially fluorescent lighting, is a trigger for some Migraineurs.

Please do have him check with his doctor about this. Whenever we experience a change in Migraine symptoms or pattern, it should be checked out.

Good luck,
Teri Robert
