I wish I could give you an immediate, magical answer, but there just isn't any.
If you've tried "many prophylactic regimes" in just over a year, it's possible
that none of them were given enough time to work. There are many, many meds and
combinations of meds that can be effective for Migraine prevention. The odds are
very strongly on your side for finding a regimen that's effective for you. If
Frova isn't working on your Migraines, there are six other triptan medications
as well as ergotamine abortives such as Migranal Nasal Spray and D.H.E. 45
injections that you can give yourself at home.
Since your neurologist hasn't helped you make any progress in over a year, I'd suggest a new doctor. A true Migraine specialist would be your best bet. There's a link to a list of recommended doctors at the end of this page.
