Question: Can't take triptans. Is there any hope for me to find an abortive that really...

Answer:

Dear Anne:
Yes there is. Find a reputable headache and Migraine specialist. Nortriptyline is primitive medicine with many side effects. There is no reason you couldn't take a triptan if a cardiologist "cleared" it for your use. I use it in people with atherosclerotic disease if they benefit from it.
Good luck,
John Claude Krusz
