Ask the Clinician

Question: Bad reaction to Botox?

Answer:

Dear Botox reactor:

I have personally never observed the kind of symptoms you've experienced after Botox. Certainly, continued spasm and pain at the injection are not uncommon, but usually very temporary. Just a thought: Could you have developed a second set of painful symptoms that aren't really related to Botox? Many times, medications get blamed for things that are occurring in a truly unrelated and random fashion.

Good luck,
John Claude Krusz
