Ask the Clinician

Question: Has science progressed to a test for positively identifying migraines?

Answer:

Simple answer: No.

It HAS been established that Migraine is a genetic neurological disease. However, the diagnostic process is still to review the patient's personal and familial medical history and their symptoms. conduct a full neurological examination, and rule out any other causes for the symptoms.
