Ask the Clinician

Question: Migraines...Family doc prescribed Soma, ENT prescribed Valium?

Answer:

You said your ENT told you that you "may" have Migraines. The first thing you need to do is get a firm diagnosis. No, neither Valium nor Soma are medication that are generally the first ones prescribed for Migraines. It's time to make an appointment with a good neurologist or a headache and Migraine specialist so that you're sure of the diagnosis and get treatment that is most appropriate to your condition.
