Question: ...Is there an anti-depressant that works on pain too?

Answer:

Dear LVL:
Antidepressants are not just that; they can have positive effects on headaches and pain as well. For example, venlafaxine (tradename= EffexorXR) has two publications showing effectiveness against migraine headaches. I am currently researching atomoxetine (Strattera) for pain and headache, although it was put on the marketplace for other reasons. It depends on who treats you. I'd suggest finding a headache specialist in your area.
Good luck,
John Claude Krusz
