Question: ...spending a fortune...but getting no relief...other steps I can take?...
Answer:
Dear HELP!
It's hard to comment on this because you've not given much of a description of your "headaches." Do you experience nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, sensitivity to sound? Does movement make the pain worse?
Studies have shown that the majority of people who start out thinking they're having sinus headaches actually have Migraine disease:
- Sinus Headache May Be Migraine
In a recent study, a startling 97% of the participants, self-described sinus headache sufferers, actually had symptoms consistent with migraine attacks as defined by the criteria of the International Headache Society.
I can easily see your desperation here. Honestly, the best thing you can do for yourself is get to a reputable headache specialist who will be able to give you a more definitive diagnosis and work with you on a treatment plan. I can tell you from my own experience that a true specialist can make a world of difference. There's a link to our directory of recommended specialists below.
I wish you the best,
