Question: will supplements really help? Had to stop Topamax because of side effects...

Answer:

Dear Jean:
Like many headache sufferers, you have been through the mill with your headaches. While B2 and Magnesium have some (scanty) published data on their effectiveness, I'd think your best bet would be to seek the services of a headache expert in your area. Your low blood pressure may be due to the effects of your medications; anti- asthma medications such as Singulair and Accolate have been published on for migraine prophylaxis, although the double blind evaluations are still pending and the numbers of patients in the reports were small. Topamax is only one of about 7-8 compounds that have been published on for suppression of migraine headaches.
Good luck,
John Claude Krusz
