6) Please help. I am no longer able to function. I am currently 27 years old. My migraines began around age 11. Due to my age at the time, the only medication I was able to use was an over the counter medicine called "COPE". By the time I was 13 years old and in full puberty mode cope was taken off the market, and my OB Specialist began to prescribe Fiorinal w/Codeine. Over the years that was my only option in partial/temporary relief. Now after many years of suffering I have been prescribed all beta-blockers, triptylines, Zomig, Imitrex, Migranal, Cafergot, Duradrin, Verapamil, Vioxx, Celebrex, Bextra, naproxen, and other preventatives. None which have worked. I now have a consistent prescription of Demerol, Stadol, Vistaril, Flexeril, Ativan, Toradol, Fiorinal, Reglan, levbid, quinine, Lexapro, Flonase, Allegra, guffenisen, and phentermine. On the average I am in the hospital for IM's or IV's due to uncontrollable pain. I have also been diagnosed with acute fibromyalgia, bronchitis, anxious depression, panic disorder, borderline personality, and irritable bowel. I know this seems like a lot of things going on, but I can't seem to think either I am doomed to feel incapacitated for the rest of my life, or somehow everything is related and both my doctor and I are missing something. I have MRI's and CT's every 1-2 years depending on how my migraines change. I am an every day migraine sufferer. Some days better than others, but never without. I have been told by other doctors that I may have to deal with the fact that my headaches will never get better, and I should choose my battles wisely when taking which medication for severity. I have been to chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, had steroid injections. I recently have been diagnosed with Essential Tremors. My doctor has relieved me of work duties, so I now have to rely on Disability/SSI. Do you have any suggestions regarding any new medications, treatments, or specialist I should be researching. I just can't believe at 27 I am disabled and this is the best my life is every going to be. Thank you for this opportunity, Alicia.

7) I am a 21-year-old man who has recently started suffering from migraines, I have never had them before in my life. A few weeks ago I was exposed to a large dosage of a dangerous chemical (by inhalation), later that day I had all the symptoms of a migraine. They lasted for 4 days then went away. I have had 2 more attacks since then, could the exposure wake up dormant reactions to sensory triggers by lowering my resistance?

8) Years ago I was attacked by a neighbor who hit my head unexpectedly. I can not do heavy lifting without headaches, dizziness and loss of mental accuracy. I am now told it is a migraine. But these symptoms are brought on by physical actions not mental ones. P. Halcombe.

9) I am a forty-five year old female, had only occasional migraines for years until the last six months, when they became a daily event. I am now taking Maxalt, atenolol (100 mg), and imipramine (100 mg). The headaches are less frequent, down to one or two a week. But I have recently had the worst headache ever, different from others - severe pain in the lower back of my head, severe nausea and vomiting, vertigo, ringing in my ears (which is now constant), loss of balance and coordination, sweating, visual disturbance (everything looked yellow), confusion, resulting in my first (and hopefully last) trip to the ER. When I tried to tell the neurologist about it, he only seemed interested in the fact that the headaches are less frequent, not in that particular headache. In the meantime, I have read more about migraines, and am wondering if what I experienced that day might have been a basilar migraine, in which case I understand that triptans are not recommended. Is this possible, and if so, would my treatment need to change? Should I try to bring this up with the neurologist? Thank you for any help.

10) My boyfriend is 24 years old and is having these headaches that don't really go away. He explains them to me by it feeling like his brain is to big for his head. He has had them for a few days now and I'm wondering if it could be a tension headache. Patty.
