1) I am 35 years old. I have been experiencing sharp pains shooting down the right side of my head. Just recently I've experienced dizziness and nauseous with a dull pain in the back of my head. I'm worried because I had an aunt to die from a brain aneurysm and a father to die from brain cancer. Is this just a migraine or something else. Please help, Yolonda.

2) I am a 28 year old female and have just been diagnosed as a migraine sufferer. I'm not 100% convinced that it is migraines because I never seem to have the headache pain associated with them. I typically get the aura (dizziness, visual problems, lack of concentration and sinus pressure) which lasts for 1-3 hours. Then I feel exhausted and not always in my right mind. My migraines are a daily event starting in the morning. My neurologist concluded that I get the 1st and last stage of migraines and skip the excruciating pain of the middle stage. I've had all the blood tests and an MRI to rule out any other health problems that might have existed, so I can't help but wonder if my neurologist just couldn't think of anything else that might be a problem. My question is this: Is this a common form of migraine? Am I the only one who suffers migraines like this? And also, my medication (Relpax 40mg twice a day as needed and Corgard daily) seems to prevent any minor headaches, but my real symptoms don't seem to respond to my medication yet. Is there a specific medication out there for my symptoms? Thank you in advance for your time. Sincerely, Jane.

3) I have had daily headaches now for three months. The pain is there on awakening in the morning and usually lasts for up to two hours. I then have spells of pain throughout the day, usually provoked by movement or mild exertion. At the same time I have earache in both ears and neck pain, which disappears along with the headache. Occasionally I have a pounding sensation in my ears and along the bridge of my nose. Often the pains are alleviated for a short while by changing position, sitting to standing for example. I have had a CT scan which was clear.

4) I have been suffering from headaches for 10 + years. I have MCS and electrical sensitivities also during this time. I can get "emotional" headaches when concentrating on anything too much. The doctor said for me not to have CAT scans or MRI's done because of the electromagnetic fields. I am perimenopausal, take progesterone, several allergy medicines such as Zyrtec and Nasacort, also on Maxalt every day. I also get period headaches. Any suggestions?
Joyce.

5) Hi I am 26 years old, mother of 3. I have been suffering with Migraines now for nearly 9 years. And it is only been recently when I know for sure that I suffer from them. As a child I used to suffer from what I now know as Retinal Migraines. Then as I got older I started suffering from what I now hear as a rare condition migraine. Most times I have a feeling that I am about to have an attack, but the last one there was no sign at all, until I started going numb and not being able to talk. Then my hands and arms would go numb and then my legs and feet. Then I could barely talk, and when I did the words that were coming out of my mouth were NOTHING like what I wanted to say. When I have these attacks I am unable to even take care of my children and the symptoms can vary. I do have mild migraine attacks but I don't even class them as migraines for the fear of all my family panicking. The worst thing about my migraines is that each one scares me. Even though I know what is going on. I feel as if I am about to die or something. My symptoms always vary. The numbness for me is the worst. For that short time I have them an idea what it is like to be paralyzed and not be able to walk, talk. or hold my children. The first attack I had I nearly dropped my 6 month old infant. I didn't know what was happening to me. It had to be the scariest thing I ever had happen to me. Anyway my question is, is there any chance that over time, my migraines will disappear or become less severe? The ER doctor told me that I may have to see a Neurologist, right now we don't have insurance, and my husband is out of work. What do neurologists do and what do they look out for? Yours sincerely, Georgina.
