1) I have been told by my neurologist that I am suffering from rebound headaches. I have had a headache almost every day for the last two weeks (I believe these are hormone-related), and have not taken one Imitrex a day during this period. My doctor said not to take anything for a couple of days and to just "suffer" through them, which I tried to do on a non-work day, but after being in pain for 7 straight hours, I broke down and took one. I think it is very easy for a doctor, or any one who does not have Migraines, to say "suffer" through it, but that is much easier said than done. There has to be an alternative to help me break this pain cycle. Help! Lisa.

2) For the last month or so, I have been experiencing a headache localized at the very top of the head (front part), not the forehead. There is constant pressure, at times with throbbing pain, but no other symptoms, and this begins not long after I get up in the morning and begin moving about. The skull is tender to the touch. I do not experience this during the sleeping hours. I have been taking medication for depression since February 2002: Celexa until April 2003, at which time I started taking Paxil; clonazepam and Imovane, since February 2003. I also take Detrol and Prevacid. An X-Ray, a brain scan, and an eye examination have all proven negative. I am waiting now to see a neurologist, because my doctor is quite baffled by the situation. I never have migraines. I do have allergies and difficulties with my sinuses, but this has not been as severe these last years. Still, I have tried decongestants, with no effect and Advil, with a fleeting and temporary relief. Now, I am taking 2 "Tylenol 8" tablets every 8 hours; this seems to alleviate the symptoms somewhat, but not make them disappear and not for the 8 hours' duration. I would appreciate any information that you might be able to give me on the situation as it might help in identifying and finding a solution to the problem. Thank you for your kind attention. Yours, Jacqueline.

4) I have had migraines for almost 25 years. For pain, no triptans work, nor do muscle relaxants such as Zanaflex. Only taking 3 Midrin and 3 Fiorinal at once offers some part time relief. But get used to them and then they no longer work. For prevention, have used Inderal, Neurontin, Depakote, Topamax and several different anti-depressants; all to no avail. I get between 17 and 27 headaches a month and my life is a depressing mess. I think my doctor has run out of options. What do I do now?
