1) I get migraines maybe four times a month maybe less maybe more once in awhile I end up in ER. Should I take preventives, or should I just treat them with Maxalt and Zomig like i have been .The side effects to preventives are awful. I'd rather just do it this way. Is this okay?

2) I take the triple therapy of feverfew, magnesium, and riboflavin. My neurologist cautioned me about taking OTC Motrin 250 mg along with the therapy. Is there any danger to using the two together if the Motrin is not over one-three a week in the dosage of 250 mg? Thanks for your reply. Sincerely, Suzanne.

3) For about 5 years I worked out of a home office and I seemed to have my migraines pretty well under control at that time. (I am a male who is currently 53 years old and I can remember migraines as early as 6 years old.) I have been working at a large company for the last two years and my migraines have gotten progressively worse. I have been keeping a diary to try to help me find any new triggers in my current work environment. I suspect that working under bright fluorescent lights may be a problem for me. Does wearing glasses with colored lenses provide any protection from this? If so, is any one color better than another? Thanks, George.

4) My daughter is 10 years old and has suffered a headache since January 1st, 2004. Her symptoms are a low grade fever, she turns very pale white and keeps a constant headache. We have had a MRI and a Cat Scan done of her brain and her neck. Needless to say they have found nothing. They have put her on Demerol as needed and Periactin 1 1/2 pill at night. The pain is still there and today the pain has traveled down the back of her back. Her head hurts on the top of the crown and in the back. Her neck hurts on the sides of her spine very tender to touch. Could you please give me some kind of idea what could be going on. They have taken her out of school for 2 months and she has been out since Jan. until some diagnoses. The pain is constant but the pain is more in the mornings and early evenings.

5) My cousin has a fairly severe continual left sided headache. The doctors say it's trigeminal neuralgia. However the pain is not very severe. The eye is not affected. Light etc. is not a factor. The pain is continual. There are no other side effects. Her neck is stiff and she has undergone Physiotherapy to no avail. Scans have been done on that side of her face and they showed nothing. Do you have any suggestions. Should she see a neurologist. Thank you. D M Holloway, Harare Zimbabwe.
