5) My son is 19 soon to be 20 years old and suffers from continuous headaches. He goes through Tylenol or Aleve as if it is candy sometimes. He has had these headaches for since he was a child, but they seem to get worse as he gets older and now is affected his lifestyle. When he was very young (5 or 6) he took a hard fall on a concrete floor and hit his forehead...he had a slight concussion from this. It seems that a couple years after this bad fall that he started getting headaches. I have taken him to the doctor several times when he was young, but nothing ever showed up as to why he has these headaches. My son also has mood swings...he's either up or down...and now is also complaining that with this recent headache his jaw hurts really bad...all on the right side of his head he claims. We are not sure where to go from here. He is one also that is always twisting to crack his back and neck and I was thinking that maybe he needed to be manipulated because maybe the problem was that he was not aligned and that could be the problem. I'm just not sure where to go with this at this point or how aggressive I need to be. Thanks in advance
for your help.

6) Dr. Krusz, I am 35-years-old, I have for as long as I can remember had headaches, lots of them, but I have been having migraines for about a year now. They started very suddenly and have continued to be very regular. The first one was so severe that I ended up in the hospital hooked up to morphine! While I was there they did a CAT-scan which was normal and I have had an MRI which was also normal. I have been working with my doctor and keeping a migraine journal. Through the journal I have been able to determine the migraines to be related to my menstrual cycle. The migraine usually occurs around the first or second day of my period and may last one to two day. I don't have the auras that a lot of other people have, but the headaches are quite severe. They almost always begin on the left side at the base of my skull. I usually have to go in a totally dark room with no noise and lie down for at least two to three hours for any relief. My doctor has tried Imitrex, Maxalt, Duradrin, as well as put me on preventatives such as amitriptyline, and now Topamax. We haven't been able to find anything that will stop the migraine once it has started. I have always had to take at least two sometimes even three doses and still had to be down for three or more hours to get the pain to subside. Often even having to have her prescribe something with codeine to finally get rid of it if all else fails. The only thing I have noticed that the Topamax has done is to prevent me from having in between headaches. I had in the past been known to have as many as two to four just normal headaches a week. Now I don't, but no change on the monthly ones. Do you have any suggestions? I am on 75mg (at bedtime) of the Topamax and take the highest dosage of Zomig (usually two doses per migraine). I also just recently tried Frova. After reading up on it though I think my doctor might have prescribed it incorrectly. She told me to take it just as I would the Zomig or Maxalt, after the onset. It didn't even begin to relieve the pain of the migraine. Everything I have been reading says to start taking it two or three days prior to your period and continue until five or six days after as a preventative. Should I give it another try, or do you have any other ideas? Thank you! Lynn.

7) Hi, Hopefully you can help. My fiancé has been recently getting this severe headache right above his left eye. At first, we just thought, oh it's just a headache, because it wasn't coming so often. Now for the last week he's been getting this pain everyday! Excedrin isn't cutting it. So I got a sample from my doctor some time ago, considering it was initially for me I suffer from Horrible headaches due to a car accident was involved in several yrs. Ago. Anyhow I starting giving him the Ultracet (considering it wasn't cutting it for me) once he started complaining about this constant pain. It seem to subside the pain for the time being but then it just keeps coming back. This headache has woke him out of his sleep, several night now. Can you possibly tell me what can be causing this Horrible pain he's getting? Thank you, Nicole.
